There was top notch European HDR, there were military convoys ( [Baka]FaithRaven [Eryx] Military Convoy ), there was hostels (but no torture, except maybe the hostel owner's jokes, ZING!), there was loud exclamations about who was communist and how I should boycott Coca Cola. It was pretty badass so I thought I would follow in your footsteps and post a few of the pics I took (there was something like 150, but for bandwidth reasons I have cut a lot of them, especially those with me in them :P cos you don't deserve them).
Ok so fitting in with the theme that is going round my friends page of posting your work (which I approve of by the way, it is much more interesting than a lot of the crap you get on people's journals) I thought I would give you a little preview since my stuff isn't really ready/worthy of being shown yet.

So today I set about the task of designing some VoIP app. I was fiddling about trying to get something working and then BAM, next thing I know I have accidentally made...

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, SanguineRaven Software proudly brings to you, TEH INTERNET BOWSER!

It works and everything but somehow I don't quite think it is ready for the mainstream. It doesn't leak memory like a bitch (*cough* FireFox) and yes, currently it doesn't really support going back/forward but it's still useable for normal browsing habits and now I can be like "Real Men Use Internet Bowser!" and stuff. Oh and theres also the slight concern of the doomsday button which it seems to have some uhh adverse effects.

Putting that aside, INTERNET BOWSER!, coming to your pc SOON

EDIT: oh and tabbed browsing! When you walk into the room, do people notice you?
Nah

11. Do you have political views?
Politics, FUCK YEAH!

12. Do you write poetry?
Dear Diary, mood apathetic...

13. What's your favourite lyric at the moment?
Cultivate your hunger before you idealize!

14. Your view on anorexia?
Give your weight to me plz kthx

15. Something you would like to win an award for:
Life, oh and I wouldn't mind winning CPL or something

16. Posters on your wall:
Uni - none, I strive for minimalism, they only pose as distraction. At home, the history of video games, ghost in the shell, dick's naughty poster and a couple of other ones

17. Something really spontaneous you've done that you'll never forget?
The time that we ended up on a boat with Gandalf

18. Keep a diary?
Yes

19. Keep anything dirty in your diary?
Maybe

20. Name a great memory of the summer (any summer)
I can't pick anything out at the moment but there are lots

21. Do you consider yourself a daredevil?
Not since the film :)

22. Want any tattoos?
It's not something I am particularly thinking of at the moment, no.

23: Something you're terrified of.
The spear.

24: Last time you laughed till you cried:
The time we put Jimmy's parka on upside down so his ass showed through his hood. I blew a funny fuse and my sense of humor overloaded. I don't think anything will ever be funny again.

25: Ever wet yourself laughing?
Nah, I have good bowel control

26: Last time you played 'knock & run':
Knock up and run?

27: Last time you ate pizza and what was on it:
I havn't had Perfect Pizza in forever 8(, might get some at Easter. Had some chicken pizza a couple of nights ago from Sainsburies though

28: Last time you hid behind a door to jump out on someone:
Meh, it was probably Jimmy sometime

29: Someone gives you three kittens, one ginger, one black, one completely white. What do you name them?
Sega, Mega, Drive

30: The most annoying place to itch
The, uhhh, pubic region, especially when in public

---

This should be where I talk about and post pictures of the work I have been doing. Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen since I don't think anyone is interested in seeing pictures or hearing me talk about AI for tanks, field programmable gate arrays, image preprocessing, the simulation of birds flying around obstacles or my algorithm that solves the 'travelling salesmen problem', so instead I will leave you with this picture of a kitten, and depart.

So this year I am not gonna mock the dead with my pictures. Instead I am just going to ask that everyone take a few minutes to remember all those who died. I am of course talking about The Bloody Valentine incident when those Natural bastards used Nuclear warfare and all those raptors in GINNs protecting the Titanic which was orbiting Junius 7 died.

So please take a few moments to remember. We can only hope that raptor's eventually evolve to have opposable thumbs so they might one day have a chance to actually successfully pilot those GINNs and prevent something like this from happening again. RIP.

So here's the plan. It's Jamie's birthday on the 28th (a Tuesday) so trying to arrange for anyone who wants to go to make a trip to Cardiff either the weekend before or the weekend after.

Jamie would prefer Friday-Saturday, which is alright by me since I have Friday's off but what are people's timetables on Fridays like?

Looking at travel, megabus runs from London Victoria to Cardiff at about a 3hour coach ride. For some indication of prices:

Friday 24th outbound
depart 08:00 arrive 11:15 - 4seats for £12 (£3 each)
depart 11:45 arrive 15:00 - 4seats for £20 (£5 each)
depart 15:00 arrive 18:15 - 4seats for £36 (£9 each)

Saturday 25th Return
depart 12:15 arrive 15:30 - 4seats for £20 (£5 each)
depart 15:15 arrive 18:30 - 4seats for £12 (£3 each)

a Saturday-Sunday trip is slightly more expensive with about a minimum of 4seats for £20.
Also, the number of people who go will alter the price but I figured 4 might be about right.

For accomodation, Jamie has 2 spare beds and 2 leather sofa's so there is room there and I have no problem sleeping on the floor if needbe, but there is a hotel round the corner if you really don't wanna stay with him

So who would like to go, would you be able to depart on a Friday, and is that weekend ok?

Went to see Harry Potter. I was gonna post about what was disappointing but already discussed this with Jimmy so in bullet form:

Things That Sucked

No Dobby, Winky or S.P.E.W

The rushed world cup, no stealing of the wand for the Dark Mark, no Barty Crouch explanation

Ludo Bagman cut completely, wtf?

Percey cut completely (gonna have to give his part to someone else in number 5)

Ending cut short - Madam Maxime goes back to Beaubatons instead of going off to the moutains with Hagrid. Guess they are just gonna cut that completely from the rest of the films? Oh and no gathering for OotP

The final fight scene was really short and only had about 1/5th of the Death Eaters >_<

They really didn't choose a good Cho.

Dumbledore's actor

The sexual harassment, Radcliffe fanservice scene

Mad Eye Moody's eye was comical. It sucked.

What the hell happened to all the Rita Skeeter parts?!

Things That Didn't Suck

Durmstrangs entrance and general portrayal was a lot better than I expected. They managed to nail both Cedric and Krum's parts nicely.

Hermione was hot (but not legal)

Ginny is progressing towards hot (definately not legal)

"In Soviet Bulgaria, Triwizard tournament enters you!"

Hermione: "I thought you said you were working on that egg" .... "I'll work on her eggs!"

Overall, it was an alright movie. There were some pointless changes and a lot of places they could have improved on. It was the best book and best film so far but the unforgiveable parts was really messing up the Barty Crouch plot (which is pretty much the key to the book) and what annoyed me (although as Jimmy counters, they need some action, its a movie) was the first task when for some stupid reason he flies out of the arena and around hogwarts, culminating in a few minutes of 'lets show off our penis size by spending money on computer animation' on the top of the towers.

Anyway, just my opinion, and I am not willing to argue about it and the whole "book vs film" thing so yeah, take it.
